Balletone™ (Ballet Workout): Stand taller, feel stronger, have more energy! Balletone uses ballet moves and exercises to strengthen, tone, align, and stretch your entire body. Incorporates cardio, pilates, floor exercises, and stretching. If you enjoy or want to try the elegance of ballet and work off those inches, this is the class for you. Bring an exercise or yoga mat. Wear comfortable workout clothing and bare feet.
Ballistic Abs: A high impact interval workout involving both aerobic and strength work. Participants are encouraged to work within their own fitness level during the interval exercises. Bring an exercise mat and stability ball. Wear workout clothing and sneakers.
Barre: Sculpt and Tone your total body to feel stronger, energized, and more flexible. This class will challenge you with a mix of dance inspired barre work, strength training, pilates, and yoga. In addition to the barre, this workout can include use of weights, bands, balls, and mats. Bring your own mat. Be ready to sweat and to be challenged. Be ready to experience Barre Blast!
Beginning Ballet: Classes will emphasize posture, placement, basic positions, center floor patterns, and loco motor movements. No prior ballet experience required. Wear leotard, tights (or workout clothing) and ballet slippers.
Belly Dance (Level I): This class is designed for the first-time student, or those with some experience who are interested in returning to the dance. Habiba will guide you through technique essential to the dance. Glide across the floor with elegance as you frame your body with beautiful hand and arm movements; learn shimmies both soft and powerful; hypnotic movements of the hips such as figure eights, and undulations.
Belly Dance (Level II): This class is for students with previous belly dancing experience who are able to execute most Level I basic technique with ease and with movements which are clearly defined. Habiba will help you refine the basics and also add more challenging technique and choreography to expand your movement vocabulary. Veils and finger cymbals will also be used.
Bokwa®: is a new and completely different approach to group exercise that is rapidly spreading across the Bokwa®globe. Bokwa® participants draw letters and numbers with their feet while performing an energizing and addictive cardio workout routine. Moving together to today’s most popular music, participants off all ages draw the Bokwa® L, 1, C, J and dozens of other steps
Circuit Training: This group session is fun and dynamic. The classes are designed to strengthen your core, improve balance, and for general weight loss and strength building.
Dance Fitness: A full body workout; classes include a thorough dance & fitness warm up, stretching, & toning for all the major muscle groups, simple & low impact dance & exercise movement, with focus on increasing flexibility, coordination, strength and balance. Pulling from a fusion of jazz, ballet, modern and contemporary dance, along with elements of yoga, & pure fitness, emphasis is placed on alignment & posture so you can work optimally from your center & your core. Bring a Yoga or exercise mat. (Bare feet, flat dance shoe or sneaker.)
Gentle Ballet:This dance class is for anyone who is looking for a gentle, soothing workout. Feel like an elegant ballet dancer and have fun while you improve balance, flexibility, and strengthen your body. The class will include a warm-up at the ballet barre , beautiful dance movement across the floor, and stretching exercises. No ballet experience required.
Hip-Hop This class, popularly referred to as Thirsty Thursdays, bringsThursday’s Hip-Hop party scene into the studio. Pre-game here, learning basic Hip Hop techniques, original choreography, and some of the hottest trending line dances. Come experience Hip-Hop fusions with other styles like Jazz, Modern, Funk, Dance Hall, African, Vogue and J-Sette. All levels are welcomed. Make sure to bring a bottle of water, because you’re guaranteed to leave THIRSTY!
Insanity Workout™: is the hottest fitness workout in town! This program incorporates high intensity cardio conditioning with a focus on Max Interval Training as its core foundation.
Intermediate Ballet: See Beginning Ballet. In addition, center floor work incorporates more advanced steps with complex combinations. Previous ballet experience required. Wear leotard, tights (or workout clothing) and ballet slippers.
Jazz/Contemporary Dance: This class offers a fun-filled mix of “old school” Jazz Dance technique, with Broadway and Contemporary/Expressive movement styles. Loosen up with jazz isolations & warm ups for coordination, balance and alignment. Expand into full body stretching exercises for flexibility and strength (standing and floor) followed by movement combinations across the floor, and choreography in the center. Get fit, let loose and have fun! Find the inner “Jazz Baby” in you! Mixed Level. Please wear comfortable clothing you can move in and bring flat jazz shoes or dance sneakers.
Mixed Level Ballet: Classes will emphasize posture, placement, basic positions, center floor patterns, and movement across the floor. This is a combined level class and is geared towards those who attend. More challenging movement will be given to more experienced students. Some previous ballet experience is suggested, but not necessary.
Pilates Mat: Come enjoy a low-impact, total body workout with Pilates Matwork. Attention to detail and focused movement will be used to improve core strength and create long, lean muscle. Increase your strength and flexibility in an efficient and effective total body workout. Bring an exercise mat.
Pilates Ball: Pilates on the Ball is a low impact, detail oriented progression of exercises designed to efficiently and effectively tone the total body while maintaining focus on core strength and stability control. Bring an exercise mat and an exercise ball.
PiYo™: Get ultra-lean and intensely defined with PiYo™, a combination of Pilates and yoga-inspired moves, set to a faster pace for serious fat burn—and fun! Whether you take the class, or even better, teach it—you’ll experience hardcore results from this low-impact, high-octane workout!
PKJ Dansing: This class is a combination dance and voice class. We team teach this class using both choreography and vocal technique for you to dance and sing along with songs in a variety of genres such as pop and broadway. We’d love for you to join us as we dance & sing together!
Relax/Renew/Rejuvenate: The “Anti- Stress”/”No sweat” class!This class will take you through a series of gentle wellness & self-care exercises designed to nurture, balance and revitalize your body, mind and whole being. Simple, mindful movement sequences will help you to increase self-awareness, release tension and stress, & restore you to your natural alignment with greater ease, energy, focus & clarity. We will utilize a combination of relaxation, visualization, breathing, meditation & energy balancing techniques, all designed to help you be in your optimum state of health, vibrancy and well being! Bring a Yoga mat & a small pillow-(optional); chairs available.
Strengthen & Stretch: Tone your total body with balance and strengthening exercises. Then increase flexibility as we stretch out. Some small fitness props may be used to vary the workout. Bring an exercise mat. (Only offered as a Saturday Shake-up class)
TNT Core Fit: A low impact series of matwork exercises designed for total body strengthening while maintaining core focus and control. This class will be a constant challenge with varying exercise sequences to keep your mind and body guessing. Some fitness class experience needed.
Wellness Workout: This class is designed to help you create a healthy integrated state of wellness, fitness, & balance for your body, brain and whole being. It includes exercises (standing and mat) for stretching & toning, posture, centering and alignment, with focus on increasing strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance. In addition, self-care tools and techniques are integrated into each class, to help expand body awareness, use of breath, energy balance and relaxation. Additional benefits often include released stress, enhanced energy, focus & concentration, along with a greater sense of overall ease, vitality, positive optimism and well-being! Zumba™: Zumba is the Latin inspired dance fitness class. It is a total body workout w/ toning exercises and fat burning dance moves. It combines many forms of dance, including salsa, meringue, hip-hop, belly dance, cumbia, African dance and much more. It is easy, aerobic and fun!
Zumba Gold™: The original concept of Zumba is a dance workout with a party-like atmosphere. Zumba Gold takes the popular Latin dance inspired workout of Zumba and makes it accessible to beginners and seniors. Zumba Gold builds cardiovascular health by challenging the heart and working the muscles of the hips, legs, and arms with dance moves. Bring some water and a smile!
